After a stint in the corporate world, Garry Shrum started his own successful record store, Blue Meanie Records, in 1976, and he's been immersed in records, tapes and CDs ever since. Attending many record shows in the United States and Europe over the years, he has become an expert on imports, especially those of the 1960s. He has been providing expertise for Heritage's Music & Entertainment Auctions since 2004.

Gary received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1998, and spent six years as an editor/entertainment reporter/film critic for the alternative weekly The Met and later the Dallas Morning News. He joined Heritage in late 2004 as a cataloger in the Comics and Entertainment departments, and later added Consignment Director to his list of duties. He is currently a member in good standing of the Dallas/Fort Worth Film Critics Association, freelances for Dark Horizons.com, Theatre Jones.com, the Lakewood Advocate, and others. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Far Fetched Fables podcast.

A writer, publisher and widely cited
media expert in the field of music, Pete Howard
started off as a professional disc
jockey before moving on to an executive role with CBS
Records for several years. He later
headed up the radio syndication firm that created
Earth News and Country News before
founding, owning, publishing and editing ICE
magazine, which became possibly the
finest source of CD news in the world for 19
years. Also, a Contributing Editor
for Rolling Stone magazine from 1988-1995 with a
regular CD News column for their
Record Review section, Pete additionally penned
Goldmine magazine’s 22,000-word cover story on collectible music
posters in 1995. Along with planning a coffee-table
book on the history of the American concert poster
from 1920-1970, he is the only
person in the world with a serious, comprehensive
(4,000+) collection of rare
concert-poster images from this time period. Artifacts from
Pete’s personal collection have been
displayed in eight different museums around the
world, including New York, Los
Angeles, Paris and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
and Museum in Cleveland. He also
once built and possessed the world’s best Bob Dylan
record collection. Pete joined our Entertainment and Music Memorabilia department in 2019 as a Consignment Director.

After attending the University of Louisville (KY), Michael worked in the Consumer Electronics industry. In 1983, he joined the Universal Autograph Collectors Club, and became a dealer in a wide range of collectibles in 1985. Adopting the Internet early, he moved into website design and development in 1995, an area where he has received numerous awards. Michael joined Heritage in 2004 and has done cataloging work for Music & Entertainment Memorabilia, Americana & Political Memorabilia, Historical Manuscripts, and Space Exploration.
