Whitefish Property Fit for a Rock n' Roll King
DALLAS, Texas (July 24, 2017) — Music and architecture fans take note: the home of E Street Band bassist Garry Tallent sold for $1.43 million July 18 by Heritage Auctions. The custom-built sleek 3,500-square-foot four-bedroom/five-bath modernist estate was the perfect Montana getaway. Ideally situated for fans of the great outdoors, the riverfront estate was surrounded by a jaw-dropping 360-degree view of the Whitefish Range and Blacktail Mountain Ski Resort.

"Heritage Auctions is the No. 1 resource when it comes to marketing and auctioning high-end, luxury real estate," said Nate Schar, director of Luxury Real Estate at Heritage Auctions. "We attract clients seeking innovative solutions … and we deliver time and again."

After sitting on the market for years unsold, Heritage Auctions was brought in to help. Through its marketing expertise, Heritage generated excitement about the sale and brought a roomful of bidders together to compete for the property.

The stunning house drew more than 50 interested buyers to tour the property and eight highly qualified registered bidders to the auction, Schar said. Buyers were attracted to the home's dedication to clean lines and advanced technology. From the geothermal heating and cooling system to the array of solar panels on the roof, every step was taken to tread lightly on the estate's 33 acres.

The home included solar power, tankless water heaters, a rainwater catchment system and impressive attention to energy efficiency and the environment in its construction. The home's new owners will appreciate how easily the house flows from indoor to outdoor space and back again. With an outdoor dining pavilion, massive rooftop deck and both a fire pit and outdoor fireplace, the home encouraged visitors to soak in all that the Flathead Valley had to offer.

Reporting on Heritage Auctions’ sale of an historic Dallas estate that had been on the market for more than two years was one of the most exciting real estate stories I’ve covered. I do not think they left one stone unturned in the marketing process, and
